Persons at risk of poverty or social exclusion in 2022

According to Eurostat, 95.3 million people in the EU were at risk of poverty or social exclusion in 2022. This represented 21.6% of the EU population.

The figure remained relatively stable compared with 2021 when 95.4 million (22% of the population) were at risk of poverty or social exclusion in the EU.

  • The below graph shows 27 countries within the European Union and Norway.
